Today’s journey takes us back into the National Park to Kata Tjuta (or The Olgas as it used to be known). I’ve learned that Kata Tjuta means “many heads”. For me this area is just as impressive as Uluru. I love it!

We hike the Valley of the Winds Walk as far as Karingana Lookout – it’s an amazing walk through the domes and we stop for lunch at the lookout. There’s a section that the kids love, where you have to scramble up the side of one of the domes.

There’s more water around than I’ve ever seen here, which is beautiful. I’m guessing they got the rain we had at Glen Helen last weekend.

In the afternoon we head over to the Walpa Gorge Walk – the sheer scale of the domes when you’re up close is just amazing. It’s very hard to get a sense of it in the photos (but look for the tiny people) 🙂

This is our last full day of holidays – it has been an amazing trip, and we’re so lucky to have shared it with friends.
